How to Order
About Ordering Kimono
Every kimono is fully made to order.
Each piece is individually tailored to the measurements of the customer who orders it.
Once you complete your purchase, we'll email you a sizing form.
Please refer to the guide below to measure yourself for tailoring, and fill in each item on the sizing form.
Once the sizing form is complete, please attach it as a PDF or photo and email it to us.
Alternatively, you may list each item number along with your measurement directly in the body of your email.
We may contact you if anything is unclear. Please reply within one week.
We'll send you a confirmation email once we've received your measurements.
Production will begin three days after that, so if you need to make any changes to your measurements, please email us within those three days.
We're unable to accept cancellations or changes after that point.
【For Women】
If you already own a kimono:
Please refer to the diagram and measure items ① through ⑩.
*You only need to measure either ① or ② — whichever you find easier to measure.
If you don't own a kimono:
Please refer to the diagram below and measure your own body.

B. Shoulder width
C. Arm length
D. Bust
E. Hip

Stand up straight with your arm raised at a 45-degree angle.
Shoulder width: from the base of the neck (the point at the base of the cervical spine) to the tip of the shoulder.
Arm length: from the tip of the shoulder to the wrist bone.
D. Bust
Measure horizontally, across the fullest point of the bust.
E. Hip
Measure horizontally, around the hip bones or the widest point of the hips.
【For Men】
If you already own a kimono:
Please refer to the diagram and measure items ① through ⑩.
*You only need to measure either ① or ② — whichever you find easier to measure.
If you don't own a kimono:
Please refer to the diagram below and measure your own body.

A. Mitake (Kimono length)
Stand up straight and measure from the bony point at the back center of your neck (the base of the cervical spine) down to the middle of your ankle.

Stand up straight with your arm raised at a 45-degree angle.
Shoulder width: from the base of the neck (the point at the base of the cervical spine) to the tip of the shoulder.
Arm length: from the tip of the shoulder to the wrist bone.
D. Chest circumference
Measure horizontally, across the fullest point of the chest.
E. Waist circumference
Measure horizontally, right above the navel or at the widest point of the waist.
~About Our Tailoring~
・Men's kimono are tailored with a straight-cut collar (bō-eri); women's kimono are tailored with a bias-cut, tapered collar (bachi-eri).
・Both men's and women's kimono are tailored unlined (hitoe). (Since our denim fabric is tightly woven and sturdy, an unlined construction suits it best.)
・The main body of each kimono is machine-sewn, but the kagari stitching — the primary edge-finishing — is done carefully by hand.
※Because each piece is finished by hand, one at a time, please allow for some slight variation in measurements.
※If you find any issue with your finished kimono, please contact us within one month of receiving it. If the issue is due to an error on our part, we'll make the necessary repairs free of charge. Any repair requests made after that period will be subject to a fee covering our actual costs.
