【A Greeting from the Owner】
Thank you for visiting our website among many others.

In Kurashiki City, Kojima, cotton has been cultivated for about 400 years, and it is now known as the "City of Textiles."
Today, it is a famous town producing many textiles, including denim, tatami-beri (tatami mat edging), and Sanada-himo (braided cords).
Especially famous is its denim.

In Kojima, many new types of denim are produced, revolutionizing the traditional image of workwear.

The materials also vary, including not only cotton but also silk denim, wool denim, and nylon denim.

Among these, this summer denim kimono is made of 100% plant-derived (mainly eucalyptus) Tencel.

◆Characteristics of Tencel fiber
・Luster
・Suppleness
These are essential elements for the elegance of a kimono.

・Soft to the touch and refreshing texture
・Dries quickly
These are perfect elements for summer.

・100% natural material
Kimono is the ultimate sustainable attire, and Tencel is also a safe and secure material that does not burden the global environment.

・Delicate yarn
The fabric is thin, woven with very fine threads, making it suitable for wear during the unlined (hitoe) season up to the height of summer (seika).

Therefore, the weaving technique directly translates to quality.
The skill of experienced craftsmen is indispensable for weaving delicate threads on a loom.
This fabric boasts the high technical prowess of Kojima denim.

We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your Japanese attire life even more with denim kimonos suited for each season.
