On September 24th and 25th, 2022, during the Silver Week holiday, Aeon Kurashiki was bustling with people.
Thanks to everyone, the "Takahashi River Basin SDGs Festa 2022" at the Aeon Hall was also a great success.
Our company exhibited kimonos and obis made from "silk denim" produced in Kojima, Kurashiki City, as well as the "Kojima Obi," a combination obi made of denim, tatami-beri (tatami mat edging), and Sanada-himo (braided cords).
This was their first appearance in our hometown, Kurashiki ♡
The main attraction this time was the "Summer Denim Kimono."

It uses regenerated fiber (re-spun into yarn after melting) made from wood pulp.
This fabric is mainly made from eucalyptus.
It is an environmentally friendly natural material, 100% plant-derived.
This fabric is perfect for considering "SDGs" at this event.
Visitors also tried on our items.

Also,
When making obis and kimonos, we have leftover fabric such as denim and tatami-beri.
These are small items made using those scraps.

...It seemed like these were the main attraction in terms of quantity (lol).
They were well-received and purchased by many different people.

The Mayor of Kurashiki and members of the Kurashiki City Council also visited our booth.
Thank you very much.

They were also interested in our main kimono, the "Silk Denim Kimono," and the kimonos that also feature "Nanairo-zome" (seven-color dyeing).

We also have kimonos and obis for men, not just women.
Men in kimonos are indeed very stylish!
Through this event, I hope to plan more SDGs-focused products that will be loved by everyone in our "hometown."
We appreciate your continued support!
