On a spring day, the cherry blossom buds, once tight, slowly began to smile as if they had been waiting for us.
For the "Kimono as Daily Wear Project," we held a learning event where participants traced historical sites of Okayama from the Edo period that still remain in the city, and received detailed explanations of the highlights of Korakuen Garden from a guide.
Thank you very much to our guide, Mr. Yamamoto, who prepared many materials for each of us.
As we walked through the city listening to the explanations, the scenery we had casually passed by before suddenly seemed to transport us back to the Edo period.
Even in Korakuen Garden, the garden that we had vaguely observed now appeared from the perspective of a feudal lord.
The difference was so great that I thought, "What was I looking at before?" This is what "learning" truly is.
The next event is on May 3rd.
