Why don't you join a yukata event and learn about its history?

Japanese summers are great, aren't they? (Even if they're hot!)

As the sun sets, you take a casual stroll.
A wonderful item for enjoying the cool evening breeze.
That's the "yukata."

The yukata began as a "yukatabira" to protect the skin in a steam bath.
As times changed, it became a bath towel and bathrobe in public baths.
And now it's a summer evening fashion statement.

Considering its history as originally sauna wear,
I'm sure people from the past would be surprised to see
today's yukata fashion, with its elaborate patterns, colors, obi tying techniques, and accessory usage.

Even if we say it's hot, summer is surprisingly short.

If you don't wear your yukata diligently, the autumn winds will be blowing before you know it.

Why don't we go out together in yukata?!
