【A Message from the Shop Owner】
Thank you very much for choosing to visit our site among the many others available.
Kojima denim has, over a long period of time, blended into Japan's climate and continued to evolve so as to feel comfortable on the Japanese body.
From this evolution came a fabric called "Cotton and Silk Twill" — have you heard of it before?

When people hear the word "denim," many still picture workwear — "100% cotton, thick, prone to fading."
But this Cotton and Silk Twill fabric completely overturns that traditional image of denim.
The warp is made by twisting together three extremely fine cotton threads, while the weft is made from carefully selected silk thread.
It combines the durability of cotton with the softness of silk, and its sheen is so refined it could easily be mistaken for 100% silk.
What's more, despite containing silk, it can still be hand-washed and holds up well even in the rain.
I believe this Cotton and Silk Twill is the denim best suited to traditional Japanese dress.

Using this Cotton and Silk Twill, along with other carefully selected Kojima textiles, we create original kimono, obi, and wa-sou accessories.
《 Kimono Features 》
~ You Can Add a Pattern ~
Our kimono are made to order, and after tailoring, our original patterns can be added directly onto them.
Kojima denim is mostly plain (solid color), and nearly all of the fabrics we select as "suitable for kimono," aside from Cotton and Silk Twill, are also plain.
If these were simply tailored as-is, every kimono would end up looking almost identical, like a uniform.
That's why, after the kimono is fully tailored, we add a pattern directly onto it, creating a "one-of-a-kind, custom-made piece" tailored to each customer's preference.
One such pattern is the "Shichiryusai" design.
It is a design born from the combined "ki" (energy/spirit) of two master artisans: a traditional craftsman skilled in "Shichisai-zome," and the calligrapher Reikou, known for his "gold and silver ink calligraphy" — each pouring their full heart and dedication into its creation.

"Shichisai-zome," "Reikousho," and "Shichiryusai" are applied not only to kimono, but also to obi and other products we offer.
Decorated all over, it becomes a "komon" (all-over pattern kimono); arranged in a flowing, continuous design across the seams, it becomes a "houmongi" (visiting-wear kimono).
The formality of the kimono can be freely adjusted, allowing you to create a completely original kimono that is uniquely yours.
Used kimono are, of course, also welcome for this treatment.
Feel free to reach out and consult with us whenever suits you.
